I was born in West Texas, grew up between the borderland and Mexico. That contrast shaped me, comfort and struggle, tradition and innovation. I learned early that life doesn’t reward passivity.
Being young and ambitious can make you feel like you always have to be exceptional. I’m used to outworking and outthinking my peers. So to me, “normal” feels flat. I believe outcomes are earned, not given. I place a premium on self-reliance, mastery, and creation. I see work as a form of art and meaning, not just income.
I started DLS because I have a primal need to build. To take an idea, shape it into something real, and watch it breathe. I didn’t want to be a spectator in this life. I didn’t want to be a cog in someone else’s machine.
For me, an agency is leverage. It’s the ability to set your own standards, to say no, to refuse to beg for permission or approval. It’s my way of proving I can shape reality instead of accepting it by default.
I believe design can be sacred. It can tell stories, change perceptions, and elevate businesses. I have a deep resistance to mediocrity. I’m allergic to shallow, cookie-cutter work. I’d rather fail ambitiously than succeed comfortably.
DLS is my lab. My cathedral. A place to practice our craft at the highest level we can humanly achieve. We’re here to deliver the best work we are capable of, work that is real, human, and enduring.
If you share that conviction, if you’d rather build something that lasts than chase something easy, you belong here
